Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common questions about tracking holiday prices and getting alerts.

  • Which holiday providers do you support?

We currently support TUI (tui.co.uk), First Choice (firstchoice.co.uk), Jet2holidays (jet2holidays.com), Haven (haven.com), Hoseasons (hoseasons.co.uk), Norfolk Hideaways (norfolkhideaways.co.uk), cottages.com and Novasol (novasol.co.uk). Paste a full holiday URL from one of these sites and we can read the price and key trip details automatically. We add providers based on demand, so if the site you book with is missing, tell us via the contact page.

  • How does tracking and email alerts work?

You paste your holiday link, choose an alert rule and add the email address where you want updates. We then check the price automatically in the background — no browser tabs, no manual refreshing — and email you when it changes in line with your rule. Each alert shows the old price, the new price and a direct link back to the holiday so you can book straight away if the deal is right.

  • How often do you check the price?

Every 30 minutes, around the clock. Holiday prices can change several times a day — especially in peak booking season — so a half-hourly check means you hear about a drop within minutes rather than days. Checking more often than that adds little, because providers rarely reprice faster.

  • What alert rules can I set?

You can choose to be emailed on any price change, only when the total price drops below an amount you set, or when it goes above a limit. That way you can track deals, protect a budget, or both. All thresholds compare against the total holiday price for your party, not the per-person price.

  • Do I need an account or login?

No account is needed. Each tracker is created directly from your holiday URL and email address. There are no usernames or passwords to remember. When you want to review or change your trackers, we email you a secure one-time management link instead.

  • Can I change or stop a tracker later?

Yes. Every alert email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can request a management link from the site to see all your trackers in one place — including price history, pausing alerts, editing your alert rule or threshold, and archiving trackers you no longer need. Your price history is kept when you change settings.

  • Can I track more than one holiday?

Yes. You can track up to 10 holidays at a time on each email address, for example different dates or destinations. Each one has its own alert rule and emails go to the address you choose. To make room for another, archive one you no longer need in Manage my trackers.

  • Is Holiday Price Tracker free?

Yes. Setting up trackers and receiving price alerts is free, with no limits on how many holidays you track. The service is funded by a small number of ads and some affiliate links, which never affect the prices we report. See our Pricing page for more detail.

  • Is it safe to give you my email address?

Yes. We use your email only to send the alerts you asked for and a confirmation when a tracker is created. We never sell or share your address, there's no marketing list, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. Our privacy policy explains your rights under UK GDPR, including how to have your data deleted.

  • What happens if my holiday sells out?

If the provider removes the holiday or it's no longer bookable, we stop tracking it and send you one final email letting you know, so you're not left waiting for alerts that will never come. You can then set up a tracker for an alternative date or resort.

  • Do you book holidays or guarantee prices?

No. We only monitor prices and send you alerts. Any booking is between you and the provider (TUI, First Choice, Jet2holidays, Haven, Hoseasons, Norfolk Hideaways, cottages.com and Novasol, etc.). We can't guarantee that a price will still be available when you go to book — providers reprice frequently, which is exactly why tracking helps.
